A Career Built on the Tools

Matt spent his early career in Auckland, where he quickly established himself as one of the better carpet layers in the business. For seven of those years he worked as a preferred installer for Ian Hunt Flooring in Albany, one of Auckland’s leading flooring companies, handling everything from standard residential jobs to high-end homes and commercial projects. That period gave him a depth of experience that most carpet layers simply don’t have.

A love of the outdoors took Matt to Whistler, Canada for a ski season, where he added international installation experience to his CV before heading home to New Zealand.

Bringing It to Northland

In 2017, Matt and his wife Emily made the move to Whangarei. He saw an opportunity to offer Northland homeowners and businesses something that wasn’t readily available – a qualified, experienced carpet layer who could also supply the carpet directly, cutting out the middleman and giving customers better value and better advice in one place.
